Three Spines – Workshop

10:30 to 12:00 Sunday 15th May -> Tickets on Eventbrite

Three different folded paper structures that need no glue or stitching to hold loose pages, postcards or prints.

If a book can be considered a form that collects and conveys information, how does the binder sequence that information and what happens when the reader can change the page order?

Join Elaine of the Lost Path Press to make 3 folded book spines and consider how the design and choice of different bindings can enhance the meaning and content of the book. Using these flexible structures we will make a flexible watercolour sketchbook, a variable sequence photo album and a snippets writers notebook.

All materials and full instructions provided but you may wish to bring some of your own photo prints or postcards.

Time permitting we will look at a forth variation and discuss how the bindings can be adapted and refined for a variety of other book types.
